Happy Wednesday, friends! I'm finally getting into a groove at work (only took me 10 days!), and I think part of my zen feeling is knowing I am being productive and organized while at home. Organized home, organized life.
My word for 2016 is HUSTLE. That might mean finishing home projects (yay!), answering reader emails, writing/photographing content. As you can imagine, this equates to spending a lot of time in my home office. Or, as I like to call it, Monica Wants It headquarters.
Back in July 2015 when I did my first Better Homes & Gardens Live Better Network post about decorating new spaces, I bought some of their decor/accent pieces for my office. I loved the products so much that naturally I invested in a few more of their pieces to help me get organized in 2016. And at the end of this post, I'll tell you how you can win a Walmart gift card so you can pick up some of these fab products, too.
Daniel was so kind and bought me a gorgeous new gold printer for Christmas, and I needed somewhere to put it. If I'm bringing furniture into the house, it must serve double-duty to earn a spot. The white four cube organizer was the perfect choice (and price) for me.
The top features plenty of space to hold my printer, as well as some books I am using often for ideas and inspiration.
I also purchased a Better Homes & Gardens drawer organizer to corral some commonly used crafting supplies like my colored pencils, decorative tapes, glitter and correspondence cards.
The great thing about this drawer organizer (available only in stores) is that it is easy to move over to my desk when I am working. Once I am done, I can slide it back onto its shelf.
The four cubes offer TONS of room for supplies, paperwork, binders, and my Better Homes & Gardens magazines that I refer to for the latest trends and ideas. Fun fact– whenever you buy a cube organizer, inside the box is a postcard to get a free year's subscription to Better Homes & Gardens. Definitely a great value add to their already affordable prices in-store and online.
If you're thinking these cubes are small, think again. These cubes are HUGE. They hold so much, and the BHG collapsible fabric storage cubes fit flawlessly in the cube. I bought two of these for the bottom cubbies to hold random fabric remnants, ribbon and vinyl for my craft cutter. The bins are sturdy, large and easily fold flat it you need to store them.
I loved the bins so much that I picked up another of the striped set in gray for the guest room closet makeover. I cannot emphasize how much stuff fits into these cube bins, and they're a bargain at only $11.34 for a set of 2.
Overall, I am pleased with having everything I use often at my fingertips a few feet away from my desk. Plus, it all looks so beautiful together. I am truly surrounded by things that bring me joy.
I hope my home office has inspired you to organize your home in 2016. Check out the great assortment of BHG products online or at a Walmart near you.
I'm thrilled to be offering a $100 Walmart gift card thanks to my partnership with the Better Homes & Gardens Live Better Network. You can enter below using the Rafflecopter widget. Good luck! Contest runs through January 20 at noon CST.
