Use this cake decorating tutorial to make a quick and easy Peeps cake. Fun for kids Easter parties. It's decorated with marshmallows, sprinkles and frosting.
Since I love seasonal candies and Peeps have finally hit the stores, I was dying to make an easy Peeps cake.
For those of you who have never tried Peeps, you are really MISSING out!
They are little marshmallows in Easter-inspired shapes, covered in sugar…Mmmmmm.
It's a shame they only sell them for a LIMITED time…sighs.
Peeps come in so many colors and shapes but my favorite are the yellow bunny ones.
This cake is really EASY to put together and it's something that even beginner cake decorators can make.
My main goal with this cake was to keep it SIMPLE and really let those Peeps truly be the main focus.
Here are some other Peeps cake IDEAS:
- You can make a piƱata cake with peeps inside… hide them inside and it would be a nice surprise for kids when they slice into the cake.
- You can also decorate a round cake with frosting and Peeps to make a sunflower Peeps cake. It would also be a fun sunflower birthday cake for girls' parties.
- You can even make an Easter bunny peeps cake with m&m's. Just stick Peeps all around a round cake with frosting and fill the top with seasonal m&m candies.
- Try making an Easter bunny peeps cake. First, bake a bunny shaped cake and then, decorate it completely with colorful Peeps.
How to make a sunflower cake?
- Bake a round cake and let it cool down completely.
- Frost the entire cake with icing.
- Decorate the top with Peeps in a circular formation so that it looks like a sunflower and you are done.
